Three Main Components of the Rehabilitation System

  • The telerehabilitation system is comprised of three components, all internet connected.

  • The smartphone serves as the patient’s communication center allowing for face-to-face contact with the clinician, scheduling of appointments and visual tests, appointment calendar and display of test results and clinician instructions.

  • The headset serves two functions. It can operate as an autonomous visual aid allowing for magnification focusing on objects at any distance under any lighting conditions in any environment and is hands-free.

  • The clinician portal that exists on the clinician’s laptop communicates with a multitude of patients at any location at any time. The portal initiates automatic patient intake and interviews and allows the clinician to order tests and evaluations. The clinician can control the assistive parameters of the patient’s headset while communicating with the patient over internet audio.
